戸長役場設置前の数点を含め、明治13年（1880）開設の戸長役場の行政文書を引き継ぐとともに、幌別村役場内において作成又は受理され、保存されてきた明治5年（1872）から昭和21年（1946）までの、登別市における行財政、教育等の基礎的事項を断続的に網羅する文書96点。The 96 pieces of document; which were written, accepted and preserved in Horobetsu Village Office, cover the basic matters of the administration & public finance and education of Noboribetsu City from 1872 to 1946,took over the administrative documents of Kocho Office (Village office) established in 1880,including some documents before the establishment of Kocho Office (Village office) .
