Broadcast Programming Center of Japan

The Broadcast Programming Center of Japan (BPCJ) is a nonprofit organization established jointly by Japanese broadcasters in March 1968. Its purpose is to ensure the healthy development of the Japanese broadcasting industry. The BPCJ operates an archive facility "Broadcast Library" located in Yokohama, and specialized in broadcast programs in Japan under the Broadcasting Law. The Broadcast Library systematically preserves TV and radio programs and CMs broadcasted in Japan, and makes them available to the public for viewing at no cost.

Kansai University Open Research Center for Asian Studies

The Kansai University Open Research Center for Asian Studies (KU-ORCAS) will open up the university's "knowledge" to the whole society by making the digital archives accessible to all people around the world, as well as by opening up our research resources, research groups, research know-how, and research results. In addition to providing useful data not only to East Asian researchers but also to researchers in other fields, businesses, local governments, and citizens, we aim to return the results of our research to society by discovering new value in the humanities.

The Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum, Waseda University

With the aid of supporters from a range of fields, The Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum, Waseda University, familiarly known as "Enpaku", was founded in October 1928 to commemorate the 70th birthday of Professor Tsubouchi Shoyo and the completion by him of the translation into Japanese of all 40 volumes of the "Complete Works of Shakespeare", a task to which the Professor had devoted half his life. Since then, as Asia's only museum dedicated solely to the theatre, Enpaku has been engaged in collecting works relating to the theatre and motion pictures both in Japan and all around the world. Its extensive collection of about one million works that has been amassed over 85 years may be termed as "the history of theatre" itself. Meanwhile it also contributes to researchers from a wide range of fields, extending from the theatre and motion pictures to other areas such as literature, history, clothing and construction.

Keio University

Over the course of its 160-year-plus history, Keio University has accumulated a vast collection of cultural artifacts from a diverse range of academic spheres. These collections are held and used not only in Keio’s libraries and research institutes but also at its undergraduate faculties, affiliated schools, and various other locations on campus, and a rich array of databases for the collections have been compiled reflecting the expertise of these respective institutions. Now, Keio Museum Commons (KeMCo) has developed the Keio Object Hub portal site, which provides a comprehensive overview of art and culture at Keio University.

Tokyo National Museum

As Japan’s representative museum, Tokyo National Museum collects, preserves, displays, and researches the cultural properties of Asia with a focus on Japan, and also provides educational programs.

Kyushu National Museum

Kyushu National Museum explores how Japan’s history of cultural exchange with the rest of Asia has impacted the formation of its culture. To that end, we engage in the collection, preservation, exhibition, and research of cultural properties, in addition to providing educational outreach to the local community.

Chiba Prefectural Central Library

千葉県立中央図書館は県内の市町村立図書館等を支援するとともに、調査研究図書館として資料を提供しています。千葉県資料室では、千葉県に関連する資料(図書、新聞・雑誌)を所蔵しています。県・市町村が発行した資料、地図、県民の著作、江戸時代後期以降の歴史的資料などがあり、千葉県に関する調査・相談に応じています。

三重の歴史・文化デジタルアーカイブでは、県内の文化施設等の所蔵品・図書・貴重資料・行政資料・統計資料、県内にある指定・登録文化財、県内各地に点在するまちかど博物館や句碑、道標等の文化資産を検索することができます。

Tottori prefectural museum

鳥取県立博物館は、久松山のふもとの鳥取城跡内にあります。 常設展示では、約3,000点余の資料により、鳥取県の自然と歴史や美術をわかりやすく紹介しています。また、特定のテーマに基づいた企画展を、毎年数回開催するほか、移動展示、講演会、講座、観察会などの教育普及活動を実施しています。

Miyagi Prefectural Library

宮城県図書館は,宮城県仙台市泉区に建つ県立の図書館です。1881年7月に宮城書籍館として創設され,幾度かの名称変更と移転を経て,1998年3月現在の地に開館しました。 県内全域の図書館間ネットワークのより一層の連携・強化に努め,図書館サービスの向上を図り,また,県民の知る権利を保障し,県民誰もが生涯にわたり学び,互いに高め合い,充実した人生を送ることができる環境づくりを目指しています。

Edo-Tokyo Museum

- The Edo-Tokyo Museum collection includes materials pertaining to the history and culture of Edo and Tokyo, spanning 400 years from the Edo Period until the present day. - The museum’s materials range from ukiyo-e and other Japanese paintings to artifacts such as dyed textiles, lacquerware, and armor, and items related to daily life and folklore passed down by ordinary people. - Items are displayed in the museum's 9,000 m2 permanent exhibition space, and in special and planned exhibitions. - The public collection includes notable items and artworks by celebrated artists, such as “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo” by Hiroshige Utagawa, and “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji,” by Hokusai Katsushika, as well as objects that convey the lifestyles of samurai and merchants in the Edo Period and items from the early days of Japanese science and technology. - Number of items in the collection: Approx. 370,000

Hokkaido governement opened to the public the "Hokkaido Digital Museum," a cross-search portal site that collects information on museums, materials, and artworks from various museums and art galleries in Hokkaido and make it available as one-stop

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was opened in August 1955 to inform people of all nations of the actual damage caused by the atomic bomb, and to contribute to the abolition of nuclear weapons, as well as the realization of lasting world peace. It collects and displays belongings left behind by the victims, photos depicting the horror of that event, pictures drawn by atomic bomb survivors, etc. The museum also contains exhibits about Hiroshima before and after the bombing and the history of the nuclear age.

Nara Prefectural Library and Information Center

奈良県立図書情報館は、「想いをかたちに」をキーワードに県立の図書館と公文書館を融合した施設として2005年に開館しました。奈良県の歴史的資料として価値を有する公文書や古文書その他の地域資料を収集・保存し、広く利用に供しています。

Keio Art Committee

The Keio Art Committee is responsible for the restoration, loan, and donation of artworks owned by Keio University. In collaboration with the Keio University Art Center, we also conduct activities to introduce artworks, such as workshops on cleaning outdoor sculptures (for on-campus use) and public events for architectural works.

Library of Education, National Institute for Educational Policy Research

Library of Education at the National Institute for Educational Policy Research is a library specializing in education. The library holds approximately 100,000 textbooks from the Edo period to the present, administrative documents from the postwar educational reform period, and other materials related to the history of education. The library also provides materials online, including the Japanese Modern Textbook Digital Archive.

Saga Prefectural Library

佐賀県立図書館は、大正2年(1913)に旧佐賀藩主鍋島家によって私立佐賀図書館として建設、昭和4年(1929)佐賀県に移管され、昭和37年(1962)に現在地に移転しました。長年にわたり収集した資料は、古文書等の歴史資料を含めて約100万点にのぼります。県の中核図書館として、また地域の「知の拠点」としての役割を果たすべく、所蔵資料を活用した情報発信や、市町図書館等とのネットワークの強化を積極的に推進しています。
