Description
井上和泉守国貞（真改）は、「大坂新刀の祖」と言われた初代国貞の跡を継いだ人物。銘に国貞とあるが、初代国貞は承応元（1652）年に没するため真改の作となる。真改は朝廷に刀を献上したことで、菊紋を刻むことを許される。本脇差にも裏銘として菊紋が確認できる。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
