雪のなか、羽をやすめる鷹を描く。落款印は「美敬」、洞秀初期の号だ。これまで「美敬」時代の作は２例しか報告がなかった。近年みつかった本図は貴重な初期作例といえる。晩年の鷹図（出品１）と見比べてほしい。鷹の前後がややわかりづらいのもご愛嬌。〔No.616 石里洞秀〕
