Description
画面左下に「伊年印」と呼ばれる俵屋宗達が主宰した工房作を示す商標印が付されている。二曲仕立ての屏風には女竹・蔦・もろこし・芥子・すみれ・桜草・つくし・立葵・竜胆・燕子花・撫子・たんぽぽ・鶏頭・芒・萩など十数種の草花を散見することができる。草花の配置や組み合わせには花卉全体を見渡せるよう配慮がなされている。花々の最盛期を捉えた瑞々しい生命感が心地よく、艶やかな花の色と金地が相まって琳派特有の雅な空間を創り出している。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
