Description
「常州住早乙女家成」の銘を鐫（ほ）る六十二間の筋兜である。筋兜は縁を折立てた矧板を、頭が平坦な鋲で留めたもので、鉢表は一面に折立てた縁の筋が並ぶことからその名があり、その筋間の数を「間（けん）」と呼ぶ。鉢は比較的穏やかな形で、四方に響孔（ひびきあな）を開け四天（してん）の鋲を打つが、後頭部の笠標付（かさじるしつけ）の鐶は設けていない。天辺（てへん）は六重の菊金物の八幡座で飾り、角本に立てた革製金箔押の大きな三日月の前立が印象深い。眉庇（まびさし）は斜め下方に突き出したいわゆる駒の爪形である。𩊱は黒漆塗鉄板札五段を紺糸で素懸に威し、一段の吹返に「丸に三柏」の据文金物（すえもんかなもの）を打っている。早乙女派の主要な拠点は常陸の下妻（茨城県下妻市）が有力視されているが、膨大な在銘品を残しながら良質な史料に乏しく不明な点が多い。家成の在銘品は六十二間筋兜が多く、六十二間小星兜がこれに次ぎ、江戸時代前期から中期にかけて複数代続いたようである。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
