フランスの皇帝ナポレオン3世（在位：1852-70）を描いた肖像画。ナポレオン3世はオランダ王ルイ・ボナパルト（ナポレオン1世の弟）とナポレオン1世の義理の娘オルタンスの第三子で、ナポレオン1世の没後、彼の名声を利用して1852年に国民投票で帝位に就き、ナポレオン3世と称した。即位の翌年、スペイン貴族の娘ウジェニーと結婚。ナポレオン3世の統治時代、フランスの工業生産は飛躍的に発展し、中でも1855年、67年に開催された万国博覧会に合わせ、セーヌ県知事のオスマン男爵に命じて実行した大改造計画により、パリを美しい近代都市へ生まれ変わらせるなど、多くの功績を残した。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
