Description
デュフィの父は聖歌隊を指揮し、オルガンを弾く大変な音楽好きだった。デュフィは父の音楽に対する感受性を受け継ぎ、明るい色彩に軽快な描線が走るリズミカルな絵で知られるようになる。生涯を通じて多数の作品を残したが、中でも自らの自由な感性をのびのびと描いた水彩画は、彼の芸術の特徴をよく示している。「絵画はオーケストラの楽譜」と語った彼の絵筆は、本作でも軽やかな描線で花々を捉え、主役のアネモネを中心にそれぞれの質感を生かしながらも、一つの画面の中に融合させることに成功している。こうした軽快なタッチは、彼が数々手がけ、人気を得たドレス生地のデザインにも生かされている。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
