Description
病をわずらった源氏が加持を受けるため北山の聖を訪ねた。とある僧庵を覗き見ると、籠から逃げた雀の子を追って可憐な少女若紫（後の紫の上）が姿をあらわした。源氏はこの少女に藤壷女御の面影をみて心ひかれ、のちに自邸に引き取り養育する。
