前川公民館提供。読谷村にあった楚辺通信施設（通称 象の檻）。 在沖米海兵隊の施設であった楚辺通信施設は、読谷村補助飛行場の北西部に接し、軍事通信などの傍受施設として使用されていた。 2006年12月に返還が実現した。
