高松塚古墳高松塚古墳

Description

奈良県明日香村にある高松塚古墳。下段の直径２３メートル、上段の直径１８メートル、高さ５メートルの２段式の円墳で、７世紀末から８世紀はじめ頃に築造されたと推定されています。１９７２年に極彩色の壁画が発見されたことで一躍有名になりました。古墳は特別史跡に、壁画は国宝に指定されています。
