大正・昭和時代戦中のジャーナリスト・政治家中野正剛（1886-1943）の一行書。唐代の詩人韋應物の漢詩の結句。中野は福岡市に生まれ、県立中学修猷館にすすみ、早稲田大学を卒業後新聞記者となった。大正9（1920）年に衆議院議員になり、以降8回連続当選した。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
