ニューヨーク州の骨董市で発見された博多人形。終戦後、アメリカ進駐軍が日本の商業施設を接収して設けた売店（PX＝購買部）で販売された、PX人形と呼ばれるものだろう。日本らしいPX人形が人気を博すため、昭和20～30年代は海外輸出用の風俗人形が盛んに作られたという。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
