鎗術家の伝承が残る家に伝来した鎗。福岡藩の刀工である信国派が作成したもの。信国派の祖は京都五条坊門に居住したと伝えられ、のち豊前に居住する。黒田家が豊前を所領とした際に仕え始め、黒田家の筑前移封に伴って筑前へと移住し、筑前の刀工の主流となる。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
