士族結社玄洋社の創設に関与した頭山満（1855-1944）の肖像画。作者の久保厚助は、福岡市に生まれ、幼少期から福岡日日新聞の挿絵画家から絵画を学び、「雪峰」と号し美人画や花鳥画を描いた。久保は頭山と面識はなかったようで、若き日の頭山の写真から肖像画を描いたと思われる。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
