アメリカ合衆国の海軍大尉エルンスト・E・ヘルマンが海軍士官候補生用にまとめた弾道学（砲弾の弾道などに関する学問）の教科書から、砲戦指揮に関する部分を訳した書籍。印刷者である九州兵器は、渡辺鉄工所の水雷や魚雷部品の製造を行う部門が分離独立する形で、昭和18（1943）年に成立した。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
