昭和16（1941）年12月にはじまった太平洋戦争の戦費を調達するために発行された国庫債券（国債）。年利3.5%で、昭和35年3月1日までに償還するとされた。昭和の戦時中には、国民に国債の購入がすすめられた。物価が高騰したため、戦後には相対的な価値が極めて低くなった。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
