Description
木下順庵は、新井白石、室鳩巣、雨森芳洲など多くの門人を育てた儒学者。加賀藩前田家に仕え、のちに幕府の儒官となる。書状では、順庵からの質問への、急ぎの返答を依頼している。福岡藩の儒学者・貝原久兵衛（益軒）宛ての書状であるが、嶺家に伝わった理由は不明である。〔第37回新収蔵品展〕
