Description
福岡市の水道布設は、大正2年（1913）に国から認可を受けた。用地取得に時間がかかり工事開始が遅れ、第一次世界大戦の影響で資材が高騰したことにより諸経費が増えた。大正12年に曲淵ダムや平尾浄水場などの水道施設が完成し、3月から福岡市内への給水が始まった。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
