余白をたっぷりととった金地に、色とりどりの撫子とさまざまな蝶が描かれている。本図は旧前田証券の日田営業所の研修室に長らく展示されてきた。同社は昭和19年（1944）に開業した地元資本による証券会社で、北部九州の経済活動に寄与。近代福岡の経済人による美術愛好の様相を示す資料といえる。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
