Description
金刀比羅宮（香川県仲多度郡琴平町）から海上安全を祈願して授与された祈祷札。古来、金刀比羅宮は金毘羅大権現と称した海神（水神）を祀り、海上交通の守り神として信仰され、海事関係者の崇敬を集めていた。この祈祷札は江戸時代に廻船業で栄えた西区宮浦の津上家に保管されていた。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
