昭和9年（1934）3月に大濠公園近くに建設された逓信省福岡簡易保険支局は、昭和20年6月の福岡大空襲の際も焼失を逃れた。終戦後は米軍に接収され、陸軍病院として使用された。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
