海軍記念日を記念して発行された絵はがき。明治39年（1906）3月、日露戦争における日本海海戦の勝利にちなみ、5月27日が海軍記念日（祝日）とされた。この絵はがきには、日露戦争で日本艦隊の指揮をとった軍人東郷平八郎の写真と、日本海海戦をイメージした絵があしらわれる。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
