福岡市民芸術祭は、昭和38年（1963）の福岡市民会館オープンを機に、総合的な芸術祭として翌年誕生し、今年で第61回を迎える。チラシとパンフレットの表紙には、博多祇園山笠、筥崎宮放生会、太宰府天満宮の鷽かえ・鬼すべ神事、博多どんたくがデザインされている。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
