福岡市立城西中学校（城南区）の校歌。作詞は、現・福津市出身の日本文学研究者・国語教育学者の八波則吉（1875～1953）。大正7年（1918）から昭和7年（1932）入学の児童が使った国語の教科書『小学国語読本』（巻一の冒頭が「ハナ ハト マメ マス」）の編さん者のひとり。〔第36回新収蔵品展〕
