Description
正保2（1645）年、福岡藩は玄界島に遠見番所を設置した。遠見番には定番として足軽数人がつとめていた。この書には、遠見足軽であった浦田利平に対し、藩が、遠見足軽として長く仕えたことを労い、褒賞を授ける旨が書かれている。その子孫は現在も島にくらしている。〔No.512 島とくらし―玄界島―〕
