Description
江戸時代の消防ポンプ。放水の様子が水を吐く龍のように見えることから名付けられ、享保年間（1716～36）にオランダから渡来したなどの説がある。明和元（1764）年には、町火消十三組に一基ずつ支給され、明治17（1884）年末に国産の腕用ポンプが量産されるまで使用された。
