Description
The artist Momose Sōemon (born 1819) was born into a family of metalworkers and received high recognition at international and domestic exhibitions during the Meiji era (1868–1912). His casting techniques achieved realistic rendition of the texture of the lotus leaves, the crab, and the frog.
