Description
狩野永徳の門人、芝永章が描いた黙阿弥の肖像。箱の内に「黙阿弥像 音羽屋より贈らる」とある。「音羽屋」は五代目尾上菊五郎のこと。五代目菊五郎は、妻の祖母の肖像を、写真をもとに作画依頼したところ出来が良かったことから、永章へ黙阿弥の写真を渡して二枚描いてもらい、そのうちの一枚を寄贈したらしい。この経緯を伝えるメモ書きが残されている。
