持ち主等が未詳ながら、河竹繁俊の妻・みつの手による説明書「葵の紋が染めぬいてあるので 徳川サマに関係があるとすれば 黙阿弥の妻女琴の持ちもの だったのではないかと思はれる」が付されている。黙阿弥の妻・琴女は嫁入りの以前は松平出羽守の屋敷へ奉公に出ていた。紋入りの羽織を頂いて引退したとすれば、屋敷で重用されたことが想像される。
