Description
黙阿弥自筆手紙の軸装。封筒には「新橋出雲町仮名読新聞社 仮名垣先生机下」「三月四日夜出ス」とある。明治11年（1878） 3月、仮名垣魯文から新聞掲載を目的に伝記の作成依頼を受け、黙阿弥はそれに応じて「文化十三年丙子年」の出生に始まり、鶴屋孫太郎の門に入って劇界の人となって以後「三十五年」の履歴を「ありのまゝ」（朱書部分）に綴ったもの。
