隈：むきみ隈。とくに若く一本気な性格の人物を表す。役者：二代目尾上九朗右衛門。役名：『関三奴』の奴。昭和10年（1935）9月、東京歌舞伎座上演時のもの。署名：「右近（朱印）〔菊花〕の図の中に〔よきこと〕の文字」。署名の「右近」は九朗右衛門の初名。「よきこときく」は「よき（斧・良き）・こと（琴柱・事）・きく（菊・聞く）」で「よき（いい）こときく」というシャレ。これをデザイン化し尾上菊五郎家のシンボルマークとした。
