Description
黙阿弥の次女で、絵に優れて柴田是真の十哲にも数えられたが明治22年（1889）に夭折した島女の作品。蕗、瓢箪、梅など自然を描いたものも多く遺されるが、牡丹よりも中央に描かれた上向きのはさみが目を引く。島女の独特のセンスが光る一軸。
