The Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Literature collects, preserves, exhibits, and makes materials related to authors who were born in or have ties to Yamanashi Prefecture available to the public. Through its Digital Archive, the museum publishes highlights from its holdings—chiefly the original handwritten manuscripts of Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, Ichiyō Higuchi, and Osamu Dazai—so they can be viewed online.
