The Chigasaki City Museum of Art was opened in April 1998 to pass on local art and culture to future generations, to promote the creative activities of citizens and the development of creativity among the youth, and to contribute to the improvement of art and culture in general. The museum has a collection of approximately 2,000 items with a focus on works of art associated with Chigasaki.
