Miyagi Minzoku Commons (the Council of Folk Culture Officers of Miyagi Prefecture) is a network organization composed of staff members who handle folk materials at municipalities, museums, and other institutions within Miyagi Prefecture. In order to discover the value of folk materials and share it widely with society, the organization carries out activities beyond institutional boundaries, including joint research meetings and the development of the digital archive “Folk Tools of Miyagi.”
