Sakai City Museum (4-2-1 Midorigaoka, Mikuni-cho, Sakai City, Fukui 913-0048) is a unique five-story octagonal Western-style building on a hill overlooking the Sea of Japan. It features the history of Sakai City, and attract visitors. The museum was modeled after the exterior of Ryusho Elementary School in the Meiji period (1868-1912).
