The Fukui municipal Library is founded in 1909 with donations from the Matsudaira family, the former feudal lord of Fukui. After being evacuated due to war damage, it opened as the Fukui municipal Library in 1976. Aiming to be the "library growing with the citizens," we collect, organize, and preserve materials for use.
