Fukui Prefectural Library opened in Fukui City in 1950 and moved to its current location in 2003. Aiming to be a "library useful to the region and citizens of the prefecture", we provide information, collaborate with other institutions, and support lifelong learning activities. Currently, three MLAs, Fukui Prefectural Library, Fukui Prefectural Archives, and Fukui Museum of Literature, live together in the same building, and we are focusing on cooperation, including the operation of the Digital Archive Fukui.
