The Fukuoka Art Museum has collected and conserved approximately 16,000 works of art since we first opened in November 1979. Our varied collection includes tea utensils including Important Cultural Properties, Buddhist art, works by modern painters from Kyushu and by 20th-century artists such as Joan Miro, Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol, and contemporary art.
