The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama (MOMAS) opened in 1982 in the lush green Kita-Urawa Park. The museum exhibits a collection of outstanding works of art ranging from foreign masters such as Monet, Chagall, and Picasso to contemporary Japanese artists. The museum also holds special exhibitions with unique themes from time to time, and introduces many good-design chairs.
