Arakawa Furusato Museum opened on May 1, 1998, as a hub for disseminating information about Arakawa's history and culture. It is a place where people can learn about and explore local history and culture in an enjoyable way, and it also conducts various activities as a base for the protection and dissemination of cultural properties. In addition to a permanent exhibition of the general history, it holds special exhibitions and displays of traditional crafts by artisans from the ward in its traditional crafts gallery. It also regularly holds lectures and other events related to the history and culture of the ward.
