Description

川中島の合戦は、甲斐の武田信玄と越後の上杉謙信が信濃の川中島を挟み数度に渡って繰り広げられた戦い。合戦の様子は江戸時代初期に成立した甲州流軍学書『甲陽軍鑑』に描かれている。山本勘助は武田二十四将の一人で、軍略と築城に長けた武将とされる。川中島の合戦では、兵を分けて上杉軍を奇襲する作戦を進言するも、敵に見破られ、武田軍は窮地に陥る。この危機に際して、死を決した勘助は敵軍に突撃して獅子奮迅の働きをし、最後は打ち取られたとされる。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums

　The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. 　JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
