Katana: Signed ‘Heki Tsushima Nyudo Chikyu Tsunemitsu’ 刀 銘 日置対馬入道知休常光かたな めい へきつしまにゅうどうちきゅうつねみつ
Description
本作は、鎬造（しのぎづくり）、反り浅く、茎（なかご）はやや長め、鍛えは板目肌がよく詰（つ）んで精美、丁字映（ちょうじうつ）りが現れる。刃文は、常光の得意とする一文字写しの匂（にお）い出来（でき）の大房丁子刃を焼き、足しきりに入る。茎（なかご）には、目釘孔（めくぎあな）下、鎬地（しのぎじ）に、太鏨（たがね）で大きく「入道知休」を用いた作者銘がある。地刃ともに傑出した出来を示し、付属の外装には葵紋が金蒔絵で施されており、将軍徳川家ゆかりの品であったことがわかる。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
