Description
古風な鉄錆地十八間星兜と大袖を具して威風を備えた具足。胴は連山道頭（つれやまみちがしら）の黒漆塗板札を左脇の蝶番で繋いだ二枚胴とし、正面に華やかな金の高蒔絵で雲龍を描く。胴以外の札は、小札に模した革の切付札を主体とする。威毛はやや緑色を帯びた藍染めで、江戸時代には御納戸（おなんど）色とも呼ばれたが、広義には紺糸威に属する。兜の鉢裏に「水府紀義徳」、鉄錆地五本篠籠手の冠板（かんむりいた）にも「水府住」「紀義徳」の銘を鐫る。幕末の水戸藩主徳川斉昭（なりあき）は藩の甲冑生産を奨励し、天保13年（1842）には会津藩の明珍右内以下3人の甲冑師を借り入れ、その門から排出した者に、室町時代後期の名工「義通」に因んで「義」を冠した実名を自ら与えた。義徳もその一人である。鍬形台、𩊱の吹返、籠手の手甲に、いわゆる藤堂蔦紋の金物を据え、具足櫃には葉脈のない「丸に蔦」紋を朱漆で描き、藤堂家伝来と伝えている。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
