Description
吉田博の代表的なシリーズ版画に「冨士拾景」があるが、このシリーズ版画は、大正15年（1926）に3点、昭和3年（1928）に7点が制作されて完結している。本作品は、前者の3点のうちの一つ。他の作品には、《河口湖》《朝日》（大正15年）、《船津》《御来光》《馬返し》《山頂劔ヶ峯》《秋》《興津》《むさしの》（昭和3年）がある。「冨士拾景」において博は、四季を通じて時々刻々と変化する富士の姿を、洋風の写実表現と独自に習得した“自摺”の精巧な技法を用いて色彩豊かに表現した。本図では、白雪を頂く富士が、圧倒的な存在感で画面全体を満たしている。本作が制作された大正15年（1926）は、「冨士拾景」シリーズの他にも、「日本アルプス十二題」の全12点、「瀬戸内海集」のうちの8点、「東京拾二題」のうちの5点をはじめ、合計41点もの木版画が発表され、博の木版画制作において最も多くの作品が生み出された年となった。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
