Description
昭和5年（1930）、巴水は馬込町（現在の大田区南馬込）に洋館を新築して移り住んだ。この一帯は江戸時代までは郊外の農村地帯だったが、明治9年（1876）に大森駅が開通したことから、別荘地としての開発が進み、多くの文士、芸術家が移り住み、「馬込文士村」とも呼ばれていた。煌々と輝く満月を背景に、三本の松が美しいシルエットを形作っている。農家の窓からもれる灯りが、夜の帳が下りた田園風景に、人の温もりを添えてくれる。ここに描かれた三本松は馬込のランドマークとして親しまれていた松の木で、昭和初期に失われてしまったが、現在も「三本松塚」や「三本松」バス停、「三本松交番」などにその名を留めている。この絵は、巴水の作品の中でも《芝増上寺》に次ぐ人気を誇り、巴水の代表作の一点として知られている。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
