Description
「山岳風景」と呼ばれる本作が実在の風景かどうかは確定されていないが、おそらくアルプスの風景をもとに構想されたものと思われる。遠景の山脈や青白くかすんだ靄の中には、城郭都市らしき建造物が描き込まれている。また、目を凝らしてみると、近景の木々の間にも城郭や家々、教会などが点在しているのが分かる。本作では連なる山脈と谷間を描いた壮大な風景のなかに、人々の営みを感じさせる建物がじつに細かい筆遣いよって描き込まれており、鑑賞者を絵画世界に引き込む効果を与えている。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
