Description
天璋院篤姫の婚礼調度の一部で、陶磁器製の茶碗をのせる台、および蓋である。篤姫の婚礼調度品はこれまで国内外で4件しか確認されていない希少なもので、東京富士美術館のほかアメリカのスミソニアン協会、徳川記念財団、大阪青山大学短期大学が所蔵する。薩摩に生まれた篤姫は、安政3年（1856）に右大臣近衛忠煕の養女となり、その年の11月に第13代将軍徳川家定の正室となった。近衛家の抱き牡丹紋、徳川家の三葉葵紋を配し、二葉葵唐草の意匠が施されている。

The Japanese Council of Art Museums
The Japanese Council of Art Museums (JCAM) supports the accomplishment of mission of art museums and seeks to assist art museums in fully basing their activities in a social context. The organization holds an annual meeting, memorial forums at annual meetings, lectures, Curatorial Study Meetings, and Study Group activities every year. The information and reports generated by these various activities are then expected to be shared with member museums, the greater art-related world and the general public. JCAM was founded in 1952 with the aim of providing a forum for art museums in Japan to think and act together. The organization was registered as a general incorporated association on April 1st, 2020 and includes over 450 members (full members, individual members and supporting members).
