絶世の美女玉藻の前に姿を変え、鳥羽上皇に呪いをかけた九尾の狐は、陰陽師に正体をあばかれ、下野国那須に逃れ石となるが、毒を発するため殺生石と呼ばれた。殺生石から現れた玉藻の前の霊を描いた図。
